The opportunity

As the leading insurance and actuarial consultancy in Greece and across region, we work with most of the largest financial services companies in the industry. We offer innovative actuarial solutions to current problems along with more traditional services to our clients allowing them to address complex, multidimensional financial challenges. Working with some of the world’s most prestigious firms, you will be an integral part of our team.

As a member of the Actuarial team, you will make a significant technical contribution to Insurance & Actuarial client engagements and internal projects. You will actively establish internal and external relationships and identify and escalate potential business opportunities for EY within existing engagements. In particular:

·  Work on client assignments in either Insurance (Non-Life, Life insurance, Health or pension businesses) and Financial sector industry covering traditional actuarial activities like reserving, pricing, modelling, financial reporting (e.g. Solvency II, IFRS 17) or audit as well as broader topics like mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and de-risking, new legislations, big data / analytics, risk and capital management.
·  Provide expert, timely, efficient and professional delivery of service to our clients.
·  Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility and knowledge, providing support, maintaining communication and update other senior team members on progress.
·  Be internationally mobile and challenge yourself in an international context through various client assignments.

 

To qualify for the role you must have

·  0-2 years of relevant professional experience.
·  A BSc or MSc degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics or another related field.
·  Working knowledge of data management mechanisms including preparation and quality control
·  Advanced business writing and verbal communication skills both in Greek and English.
·  Strong team player with a passion for excellence and commitment to delivering work on time and with a flexible working style enjoying working with multi-national teams.
·  A high degree of self–direction and the business acumen to work within a rapidly changing environment.
·  Advanced MS office skills.

 

Ideally, you will also have

·  Solvency II and IFRS knowledge will be considered an asset
·  Experience in using actuarial modeling tools such as FIS/Prophet, AFM,Prophet, Moses, ResQ, Igloo, Remetrica etc
·  Familiarity with the interaction between actuarial tools, MIS and/or policy administration systems.
·  Well progressed with Actuarial Qualification exams.
