The Financial Services (FS) Talent Team designs and delivers the Talent Strategy to over 4,000 EY people across the UK. 

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Consultant and working alongside a team of HR Business Consultants (HRBCs), responsible for providing a commercial and professional HR service to the FS UK business.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Provide generalist and operational support to the HRBC team acting as a co-ordination point between HRBC’s to complete activities which support the delivery of key Talent Team objectives. This will include the provision of generalist support on specific operational issues (e.g. performance management and development process, salary review, employee relations issues, people initiatives and projects) referring to EY Help and the ER team as appropriate and in line with EY policies and procedures.

Act as a specific HR contact, taking responsibility for analysing problems and providing accurate and timely advice and solutions on an independent basis, calling for advice when necessary.

Key responsibilities include:

· 
Employee Relations - Managing your own case load of capability, disciplinary and grievance issues as well supporting the HRBC’s on complex cases.

· 
Annual Salary Review – throughout salary planning, support HRBCs in any analysis and reporting required including reward market reviews and pay proposals. Provide data input into the compensation tool and provide general business support with the delivery of salary planning

· 
Reporting –act as a specific point of contact, providing management reporting and data validation. Coordinate and complete reporting and analysis for the Talent Team as required.

 

· 
Participate in various FS UK Talent Team projects as requested, in areas such as Diversity & Inclusiveness, Employee Engagement and Communications.

· 
Contribute to the continuous improvement of FS UK Talent Team practices.

· 
Other HR tasks/activities as required by the HRBCs and Senior HRBC.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

 

· 
Previous experience of working in an HR environment at HR Advisor Level, involved in core generalist activities

· 
Certificate or Diploma in Personnel Management (CIPD) either partial or full completion or desire to work towards this in future - desirable

· 
Excellent Excel skills (e.g. v-look ups, pivot tables, etc.) to analyse and manipulate large data files and validate large amounts of data.

· 
Microsoft Office suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· 
Strong hands on experience of dealing with capability, disciplinary and grievance with up to date working knowledge of UK Employment Law and employee relations procedures, redundancies etc.

To qualify for the role you must have:

 

· 
Strong influencing and negotiation skills, as well as the confidence to deal, professionally and assertively, with senior business clients either verbally or in writing when providing advice

· 
Evidence of being able to prioritise effectively, juggling multiple tasks at times of competing demands on workload and deliverables, while being able to maintain a strong focus and attention to detail at all time

· 
Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner
