The opportunity


We are looking for individuals with varying levels of experience in Banking Capital Market, Insurance and/or Wealth Asset Management within the Governance Risk & Controls team in our Sydney office. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis. You may be ready for a change in your career now or in the future and either way, we would like to speak with you now and get the ball rolling!

These open positions will be client-centric and focused on a variety of critical client issues including:

·  Internal audit
·  Governance and Compliance reviews
·  Process & controls mapping
·  Remediation
·  Risk alignment across 3LOD
·  Controls assurance including SOX
·  Data analytics
Your key responsibilities


Will include some or all of the below dependant on your level of experience

·  Deliver professional and highly valued GRC services to our clients
·  Create and leverage trusted relationships across the financial services industry
·  Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement to deliver commercial outcomes for our clients
·  Work with the team and client to create plans for accomplishing engagement objectives and a strategy that complies with professional standards
·  Advise clients to understand and manage their business risks and verify the validity of their business information
·  Understanding of compliance, financial and operational risks along with performing controls testing
· 
Bring and utilise knowledge of the client’s business/industry to identify technological developments and evaluate impacts on the client’s business

· 
Demonstrate excellent project management and communication skills

Skills and attributes for success


We are looking for people with some or many of the following skills and experience

·  Financial services industry-based knowledge and experience, with a focus on Banking Capital Market, Insurance and/or Wealth Asset Management
·  Knowledge of and experience in internal auditing, risk management strategies and techniques, risk, controls and the use of data analytics
·  Experience in risk assessment, mitigation, remediation and report writing
·  Capability to project manage engagements and lead fieldwork
·  Strong capability to develop junior staff, build high performing teams and effectively delegate with appropriate levels of support
·  A result orientated and commercially customer- focused mindset with the ability to juggle multiple demands
Ideally, you’ll also have
· 
Superior communication and relationship building skills with a positive attitude

· 
A Bachelor or Master’s degree qualification in accounting, finance, business, or related discipline

· 
Professional accreditations and qualifications are viewed favourably (CIA, CPA, CISA, CA,CISM, CISSP, CIPP)
