GDS Tax - ACR Assistant Manager

Job description

·  Accounting graduate (CPA preferred) with a minimum of five complete years post qualification experience
·  Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work in a virtual environment
·  Effective communication skills – both written and verbal English needs to be very high standard
·  Strong issue resolution skills
·  Ability to work independently and in a team environment
·  Knowledgeable in basic Microsoft office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
·  Knowledgeable in SAP and Oracle
·  Available to work in McKinley West and on client site in Makatifor at least 12 months
·  Willing to travel overseas for business when requested

·  Use bookkeeping software including Oracle and SAP to review month end; quarter end; year end management accounts prepared by junior staff; assist in the training and development of the junior staff;
·  Understanding and review of journals;
·  Review of account reconciliations prepared by junior staff;
·  Ensure compliance with client’s accounting policies
·  Ensure compliance with SOX controls around record to report process
·  Coordinate with different EY teams and external auditors for different type of audits (i.e., Balance Sheet review, SOX audit and external statutory audit).
·  Manage and coordinate the delivery of compliance services by EY teams in the region
·  Actively establish, maintain and strengthen relationships both internally within the EY network and externally with clients to help ensure that the services EY delivers to the clients are timely and of the highest standards
·  Be responsible for the day-to-day management of client engagements which includes monitoring the progress of EY deliverables with use of our web-based compliance tracking tool, putting in place standardised best practices and processes, anticipating and identify risks and issues in the service delivery, escalating issues as appropriate as well as drive performance-improvement solutions
