The opportunity

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer within the Digital & Emerging Technology / EY Technology team in our Auckland office. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis.

Your key responsibilities
· 
Working collaboratively on the development of cutting edge solutions to client problems and questions in our new design thinking and innovation space

· 
Develop code to run on backend, web frontend, cloud, mobile and IOT devices

· 
Create proof of concepts and products to solve client problems

· 
Design, build, learn and iterate using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

· 
Addressing a range of problems which will be very broad and diverse

· 
Turning your hand to a number of solutions across a variety of platforms, both to develop on and to integrate with

· 
Working with some of the latest and most interesting technologies and some of New Zealand’s most challenging and exciting organisations

Min 5 years, 2 years in a lead developer / delivery role

Are engaged with the wider community of developers, entrepreneurs, and digital practitioners in New Zealand and are committed to continually learning, growing and upping their game

Basic Requirements

· 
Professional working knowledge across a broad range of programming languages - We’re interested in stuff like full stack JavaScript, Node.js, React, Angular, Python, Android, Swift/Objective C, NoSQL, RDBMS, cloud native (DynamoDB) just to name a few…... We also want to know what you can bring to the table?

· 
Professional working experience with a portfolio of products and POCs that use bleeding edge technologies like Blockchain, AI and IOT

· 
Experience building Restful APIs, cloud-native microservices, orchestration layers

· 
Have experience building services that may operate on or integrate with an equally wide range of source systems, hosting environments, 3rd parties and systems (eg SAP, IBM Watson, Service Now), other cloud services, data warehouses, and the usual mix of dodgy spreadsheets, boxes under desks, you name it….

· 
Working knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins) and familiarity with deployment to cloud environments – AWS, GCP and / or Azure

· 
Working knowledge of extended DevOps ecosystem (GitHub/Bitbucket/GitLab) with serverless coding like AWS Lambda, Azure functions and cloud functions

Ideally, you’ll also have

· 
Mobile development using Ionic, Cordova, React Native or Native (Android, iOS)

· 
Data streaming experience: Kafka, Kinesis

· 
Real-world experience – in a start-up, or SaaS, or a product role, or in life
