The Financial Analyst III is responsible for report generation, interpretation of financial results and cost analysis.   The candidate will recommend courses of action to management and will help lead the implementation of process improvement and policy changes to meet business needs.  Further, the candidate will work with project teams to ensure revenue recognition is appropriately recorded and focus on the driving margin improvement initiatives set out by the respective service lines. The candidate will participate in preparation of financial and revenue planning and forecasting and providing related analysis.


Your key responsibilities
·  Supports Service Line Fianance Director and Assistant Director with engagement and financial analysis, support special projects as required
·  Communicates with external contacts and internal personnel to resolve open issues.
·  Handles requests for ad hoc reports or financial information and interacts with internal and external EY personnel to verify information.
·  Assists with the preparation and analyses of confidential information, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
·  Develops and implements new procedures and policies to ensure efficient and effective operation of finance-related processes.
·  Assist in general accounting activities such as: month end close and account reconciliations.
·  Assists in the consolidation of the annual financial plan and periodic forecasts for practice units.

Skills and attributes for success
·  Exposure to upper-level management
·  Proficient in the use of standard software, including MS Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
·  Proficient in the use of standard software, including MS Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
·  SAP Experience or a background with SAP
·  Experience in forecasting and variance analysis

To qualify for the role you must have

·  University degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent experience
·  5-7 years of experience in a related area such as accounting, analysis function or Finance function; in lieu of 5-7 years’ experience a Financial Designation is preferred
