The Financial Analyst will lead the preparation of EY Law financial statements and assist with other EY corporate entity financial statements and reporting requirements, with exposure to corporate income tax and indirect tax. The candidate will also participate in preparation of financial planning, revenue forecasting and provide related analysis.


Your key responsibilities
·  Preparation of EY Law financial statements and the inter-firm billings between EY Law and EY LLP
·  Assists with the preparation and analysis of EY corporate entity financial statements and related tax analysis.
·  Provides data and interpretation of financial results
·  Assists in the consolidation of the annual financial plan and periodic forecasts for practice units as required.
·  Assist in ad-hoc projects and general accounting activities such as: month end close, expatriate cost recovery, and interacts with local and international EY personnel to verify information.
·  Develops and implements new procedures and policies to ensure efficient and effective operation of finance-related processes.
·  Coordinate Law Society filings for lawyers, Law Pro insurance, trust accounts, tax forms and remittances and assistance with other EY Law reporting and projects as required
·  Support with EY Law deposits, trust accounting entries, prepare trust statements

·  Strong teaming and organization skills with ability to multi-task

To qualify for the role you must have

·  University degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent experience
·  5-7 years of experience in a related area of an accounting or analysis function; strong professional presence with exposure to upper-level management
·  Professional designation, such as CA, CMA or CGA, is strongly preferred
·  Proficient in the use of standard software, including MS Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
·  Experience in forecasting and variance analysis
·  Previous experience with corporate income tax and indirect tax is an asset
·  Law firm accounting experience and an understanding of Law Society trust accounting requirements is an asset
·  Previous experience with SAP and PC Law software is an asset
