The opportunity

EY is looking for young professionals to join our cause of building a better working world! As a trainee, you will be given a lot of responsibility from day one: you will participate in various client engagements, internal development projects and the idea of EY Experience is to introduce you to what a global audit and management consulting organization does. By doing so, you will find yourself surrounded by some of the most engaging and knowledgeable colleagues in the business and have the opportunity to grow with them.

Our Advisory, Assurance, Legal, Tax, and Transaction Advisory Services teams in Helsinki are helping our clients in navigating the complexities of the transformative age, spanning for instance from auditing to project management, consulting to back-end coding. Our service lines are looking for curious and passionate colleagues as additions to their team. Our trainee periods last generally between 4-6 months and is targeted towards student’s in their 3rd-5th year. Most of our trainees end up as fixed employees after their EY Experience and our goal for this program is to give you the tools to kick-start your career. The start date for the majority of our trainee’s is in January 2020, but it is also possible to apply for traineeships for the periods of: autumn 2019, autumn 2020, spring 2021. Not all traineeships are full-time, some service lines offer part-time traineeships as well to accommodate your studies.

Your key responsibilities

Depending on the service line you’re applying to your role may vary. In general, your main responsibility is assisting your senior colleagues in their projects as a valuable member of their team both at our office and at our clients’ premises. To qualify for the role, you must have

•Good oral and written skills in both Finnish and English

•Good understanding of Microsoft Office tools

•A finished/nearly finished bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field

Ideally, you’ll also have

•A real interest towards the societal impact the service line(s) you’re applying to

•Previous relevant work experience is considered an asset

•Skills in Swedish can be considered an asset
