Job description

· 
·  Strong knowledge of traditional metadata management and modern cataloging  techniques
·  Hands-on experience in data discovery, metadata management and data lineage.
·  Ability to install/Configure the Data Catalog tool(On Prem or Cloud)
·  Scanning and Onboarding new data sources to Data Catalog (Data Lake, S3,RDMBS,SAP,Redshift etc)
·  Should be thoroughly familiar with creation and extraction of metadata, and scheduling of metadata management processes
·  Management of Enterprise Business Glossary, through the review of common business terms , definitions and continuous assessments.
·  Import glossaries/metadata from third party tools to Data Catalog.
·  Collaborate with business / stewards in enriching the technical/business metadata.
·  Design metrics  & KPI 's to measure Policy Compliance, Governance Adoption and Catalog Quality.
·  Training & Onboarding of new users.
·  Assist in setting formal standards, policies and processes regarding data stewardship, governance and management

 

Requirements

·  Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.
·  Must have at least 2- 7 years of experience in Cataloguing tools like Waterline Data or Informatica EDC orCollibra or equivalent is a must have.
·  Strong Data Curation experience is a must have.
·  Ability to understand data models, data taxonomy.
·  Good understanding of data quality, metadata management.
·  Proficiency in writing SQL queries, Visualization/Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Spotfire, PowerBI)
·  Strong understanding of enterprise data management concepts, principles and practices
·  Previous experience in data management or data governance functions is a must have.
·  Proven ability to perform root cause analysis for identifying and remediating  data quality issues.
·  Demonstrated ability to inform, interpret, assess and deliver thorough analysis in both written and verbal form.
·  Exposure the BigData / ML is good to have.
·  Hands on experience in Unix is mandatory.
·  Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS,Azure etc) is good to have.
