The opportunity 
The Nordic business development team at EY embodies our commitment to a world-class sales function that is market facing and client centric, bringing all of EY’s capabilities to drive market leading growth. The Pursuit Strategist plays a key role in our business development team as an internal support function for sales and pursuit related work, primarily within audit services, which includes proposal and bid management activities. The role supports client teams in Denmark and is based in Copenhagen, but the position also offers opportunities to work on larger pursuits and strategic initiatives within our Nordic business development team.  

The Pursuit Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing pursuit strategies and seeks to make the critical difference through the following key areas of focus:

·  Provide pursuit management support on strategic opportunities and oversee significant portions of mid-sized, major or complex pursuits, including e.g. project management, follow-up on activities, use of relevant specialists and coaching.
·  Embed pursuit excellence in the business by building relationships across the region, sharing best practices and challenging the pursuit team.
·  Drive initiatives to support continuous innovation in pursuits to ensure EY process and deliverables stand out from our competitors. 

Your key responsibilities

·  Strategic pursuit and opportunity management - actively participates in managing the pursuit campaign and actively contributes to kick-off strategy, status, follow-up/debrief, and oral/site visit preparation meetings throughout. Ensures that all steps of the pursuit process are completed.
·  Strategic pursuit communications – drives development of the value proposition that underpins the entire pursuit strategy in pursuit materials, including proposals.
·  Client relationships – builds relationships with key stakeholders to help achieve business goals. Presents and shares knowledge and best practices that benefit the pursuit process.
·  Administration – drives strategic initiatives to support pursuit best practice, such as project plans, win/loss reviews, offshoring, self-service and training. 

Skills and attributes for success

·  7+ years of relevant experience with pursuit and opportunity management including communications and proposal writing experience.
·  Experience from large, international businesses.
·  Well-organized with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
·  Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
·  Understand the client’s needs, showcase EY’s credentials and create compelling value propositions.
·  Strong influencing skills and ability to coach others.
·  Competence in the application of MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel. 

To qualify for the role you must have


·  Master’s Degree or equivalent required.
·  Excellent English and Danish writing and communication skills.
·  Demonstrated project and proposal management experience.
