The Business Development Executive at EY sets up strategies and collaborates to drive and win innovative opportunities at our most strategic clients within Tech and/or Telco sectors.

 

 

The opportunity

The Business Development Executive role is crucial in managing propositions tailored to our largest Nordic clients within Tech/Telco. The role requires confidence to build upon the opportunities given by the broad exposure to top leaders, influencers and decision makers at EY’s and its priority clients.

 

The Nordic Business Development function embodies our commitment to bringing all of EY’s capabilities to drive market leading growth. It plays a vital role in helping clients respond to the rapid pace of disruption and innovation happening in the world today. In this role you’ll be expected to make use of a deep knowledge of Tech or Telco sectors in addition to build upon your Management Consulting experience. You’ll also be expected to show understanding of the megatrends in these sectors and be conversant in the major drivers that create transformational opportunities. That includes Managed Services, Alliances, Digital and Artificial Intelligence, among others.

 

The Business Development Executive will work in conjunction with our Sector leadership, Management Consulting Partners, Account Partners and the Business Development Leader to deliver on the growth goals. This role will develop and deploy strategic solutions and key market initiatives, and drive these solutions and initiatives in the market to targeted accounts. The Business Development Executive is expected to set up strategies to lead and win pursuits, upholding Exceptional Client Services practices and collaborating with other Business Development team members to maximize opportunities. ​​

 

The role will be on a Nordic level, and moderate travel within the Nordic countries is expected. Location Stockholm.

 

Your key responsibilities

Instill a sales/high-performing culture and execute the go-to-market plan to achieve growth goals

Sector and client relationship development

· 
Opportunity management

· 
Leverage the knowledge of clients’ issues and sector trends to identify and help develop new service offerings

· 
Support and leverage EY alliances

· 
Deliver on personal sales and pipeline targets.

· 
Inspire others through action in the marketplace by being connected, responsive and insightful

Skills and attributes for success
· 
10+ years of business development experience in the professional services and solutions arena.

· 
Must be able to work within a matrix organization-balancing the needs of the client against business initiatives and goals.

· 
Must make decisions, such as prioritizing relationships to develop, negotiate with clients (external and internal) and overcome obstacles with minimal supervision

· 
Ability to bring new ideas and innovation to deliverables with a strong focus on transformative digital, managed service and/or Alliance- based solutions

· 
Strong coaching skills

To qualify for the role you must have
· 
University/Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced degree preferred

· 
A proven track record of selling complex services and solutions at the "C" level of large companies with a preference in a professional services environment

· 
Proven experience from Tech and/or Telco sectors

Ideally, you will also have
· 
Specific experience selling complex digital, technology and/or managed services solutions to clients
