Title of Internship: Project Development, Intern


Interns for the ENGIE

This Project Development Intern will allow students pursuing degrees in engineering, construction management, environmental science, or a related degree an opportunity to work closely with SoCore's Project Development, Engineering, and other departments to assist in commercial-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar system development and installation. The position will provide unique and valuable experience in the distributed generation marketplace, an understanding of team and company-wide operative strategies, and technical knowledge of PV solar arrays. The PD Intern will assist the PD team in bringing projects from the development stage all the way to operations and maintenance. Single semester internships will be considered, but strong preference is given to co-op candidates.

The intern will be responsible for the following:
·  Assist with system energy monitoring and operations and maintenance of existing solar installations
·  Develop tools and templates. Advance group initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
·  Assist with day-to-day functions.
·  Collaborate with other departments including Engineering, Key Accounts, Policy, Finance, Accounting, and Legal.
·  Create, review, and track project schedules.
·  Coordinate design reviews and approvals with local municipality and utility jurisdictions.
·  Drawing and document management.

Hiring Requirements

·  Currently pursuing a Bachelors in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Sciences or related field
·  Strong interest and passion for Renewable Energy and Sustainability
·  Fast learner with a desire to continually expand knowledge base
·  Detail-oriented
·  Results driven self-starter
·  Team player
·  Excellent written and verbal communication

Hiring Preferences

·  Prior internship experience at a solar or wind developer
