The GENERATION EUROPE BU (BU GEN) combines ENGIE's thermal generation activities in Europe in a single entity to meet the business challenges of the energy transition . The Business Unit's scope of activity covers the management and operation of natural gas, coal, biomass and large-scale Combined Heat Power assets. It is a cross-functional Business Unit currently operating about 20 GW across 8 countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal and Spain) with a workforce of 1500 employees. The main objectives of the Operational Technology Business Analyst (M/F) position within the IT Department of BU GEN are:

·  Analysis of business requirements and transformation into design of Operational Technology systems
·  Support innovation in the domain of big data on industrial assets
·  Support the live applications and softwares
·  Facilitate interactions between business stakeholders and the IT organization

Main activities and responsibilities:

·  Participate in projects and proof of concepts in the Operational Technology domain
·  Manage activities in the PI Robin analytics engine
·  Be in close contact with business stakeholders to support new ideas or improve existing applications
·  Have the end-to-end responsibility of some Operational Technology applications in collaboration with technical experts; direct interactions with the developer's team, user management; bug fixing; enhancement definition and implementation; testing, etc.
·  Technology watcher

Main challenges:

·  Cope with the constant and rapid evolution of the IT landscape and be able to adopt the new IT innovations
·  Follow developments in big data technology
·  Understand both the power generation and IT processes
·  Be disruptive by finding new ways to develop ideas or new solutions
·  Be flexible in terms of technologies, tasks and mobility
·  Manage Operational Technology projects

Location:

·  Brussels area (Linkebeek)
·  Because of the European scope of the Business Unit, the candidate should be ready to travel frequently

Reporting Line:

·  This position reports to the Team Leader Operational Technology Business Analysis

Experience / Diploma:

·  Master Degree

Technical / Business Skills:

·  Experience in power generation business
·  Experience with OSISoft PI technology, preferably PI-AF
