ENGIE Lab CRIGEN is the center of research, development and operational expertise dedicated to gas, new energies and new technologies. Located in the Paris region in the city of Stains (93240), it has 200 employees. It provides tested, proven and marketable industrial applications, and is committed to sharing novel ideas, scientific knowledge and technical expertise. Its ability to innovate is a key advantage for the ENGIE Group.

For this internship, you will have the opportunity to join the ENGIE research and development team, the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (CsAi) Laboratory. You will be working closely with our scientists, with the overall goal of building powerful algorithms for image and video analysis.

Interns work with our Research Scientists on:
• Finding innovative solutions to advanced computer vision problems 
• Designing and implementing solutions based on neural network architectures
• Reporting and presenting research findings and developments clearly, verbally and in writing
• Handling the end-to-end development of network architectures: determining possible approaches, implementing them, sourcing training data if needed, training them, testing them, and optimizing them for production

The different subjects that can be addressed are:
• City-scale multi-camera vehicle tracking:
o Collaborate to the development of a toolbox for Multiple Camera Multiple Object Tracking. This toolbox should be capable of evaluate the contribution of each submodule as detection, single-camera tracking, Multiple camera tracking and re-identification. 

• Anomaly detection:
o Development de un toolbox and algorithm to respond to this problem. The result should be tested in the NVidia city challenge benchmark.

Requirements

Preferred Experience:
• MS in Computer science, computer vision or similar field
• Understanding of deep learning techniques applied to computer vision: convolutional neural networks, image processing
• Knowledge of standard computer vision techniques
• Strong Python skills
• Familiarity with one of the the DL frameworks and tools like Tensorflow, Keras, pytorch.
• Disciplined self-starter, able to be highly productive both working alone and within a development team
• Experience with the unix environment
• Fluent in English

Nice to have:

• Distributed version-control (Git)
• Experience in Kaggle competitions
• Knowledge of the French language
