ENGIE are recruiting for a Mobile Metering Engineer to be based at  Kings Yard, 1 Clarnico lane, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, E15 2HG. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview:

ENGIE have a particular and immediate requirement for a metering commissioning and testing engineer to carry out support to the metering and billing department and have full responsibility to look after and maintain the heat meters and systems installed across commercial and residential consumers. The succesful candidate will also carry out meter commissioning, testing and investigations as well as repairs and general maintenance to ensure that the meters are reliable,accurate and read via the remote reading systems. The Commissioning and Testing Engineer will benefit from a wider involvement in District Energy Schemes and will form part of a team responsible for the effective management of energy related services.

Key Responsibilities:

· 
Commission and test new and replacement meters

· 
Carry out annual tests on installed meters to confirm metering accuracy

· 
Operate and Maintain remote metering systems to ensure high availability and accuracy of remotely read meters.

· 
Visit site locations to investigate and address specific issues affecting quality and accuracy of metering information.

· 
Interact with consumers to address any issues and concerns with metering usage and energy consumption

· 
Operate systems to enable the accurate capture of meter readings and energy consumptions

· 
Carry out regular integrity testing of the metering networks to ensure continuity of wiring and fault free status

· 
Carry out meter calibration checks

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

·  Plumbing Qualification or relevant 
·  Basic electrical knowledge (ideally an electrical qualification)
·  5 A* to C GCSE or equivalent  
·  Heat Interface Units
·  Metering and billing software
·  District heating systems
·  Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
