Statut du poste: Permanent, Full time

Schedule: The Maintenance Technician/Handyman will be working regular days but is expected to respond as required for after-hours urgent and emergency calls both weeknights and weekends.


Job Summary:

Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Maintenance Technician ensures that the LAC facility is in good condition by doing various odd jobs.

Responsibilities:

·  Daily Inspection of LAC facility to identify problems
·  Respond to client requests for service maintenance and ad hoc
·  Perform minor maintenance work as required:
·  Plumbing
·  Carpentry
·  Change air and water filter
·  Locks
·  Cleaning
·  Regular inspections and cleaning
·  Concrete crack repair
·  Change bulbs in the lightings
·  Inspect fire extinguishers
·  Clean parking lots and side walks as required
·  Site landscaping tasks as required
·  Answer requests from the Facility Manager
·  Assist in or perform preventive maintenance or repair
·  Complete tasks as required to increase operational health and safety
·  Organize and maintain critical spare part inventory as directed by Facility Manager
·  Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
·  High School diploma
·  Building construction and/or maintenance experience
·  General knowledge on various type of work
·  Willingness to uphold company standards for safety
·  Bilingual (English/French)
·  Able to pass a medical test
·  Obtain a security clearance

·  Ability to work without supervision, organizational skills
·  Ability to work as a team
·  Enthusiasm, ability to take action to resolve problems
·  Judgment, concern for a job well done
·  Ability to communicate well with Facility Manager and other staff
·  Sense of service, courtesy, and neat appearance

Other:

·  Able to pass all background checks and obtain a Secret level security clearance as per Government of Canada requirements.
