The working environment

You will work in the Risk and Safety Management team of Tractebel. This team provides consultancy regarding risk & safety during the full life cycle of assets for the industrial sectors in which Tractebel is active.

The experts of this team work for a variety of Clients. You will work as junior safety expert on projects in the domain of energy, gas and infrastructure. As part of a team, you can always count on the expertise and support of your colleagues and will be coached by a senior expert during the first period. Several tools and methods are developed and are available to perform the job. During the first period, when you will be coached by a senior expert, you will be based in the Tractebel office in Brussels. Afterwards, at your best convenience, you can be based in one of our other Tractebel offices in Gent, Antwerp, Hasselt or Namur.

Your function

As junior risk & safety management expert you will, in collaboration, with our senior experts, perform risk and safety management activities during design, construction and commissioning of industrial projects related to different industrial sectors (thermal and renewable power generation, gas and LNG, nuclear, infrastructure).

Your function will include:

·  Assist in the realisation of participative risk assessments (PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, etc.).
·  Perform detailed risk assessments such as QRA, PLANOP, SIL allocations, ATEX etc. under supervision of a senior expert
·  Monitor and review above mentioned activities when executed by third parties
·  Assist in Safety audits
·  Perform specific tasks in an overall risk and safety management approach related with a complex and dynamic industrial project environment

Profile
· 
You have a master's degree in engineering and are in possession of a second master's degree in safety management/engineering. If not, you are willing to obtain such a degree in a 2-year timeframe while working at Tractebel

· 
Preferably, you have a first experience in the domains of process safety, occupational safety and construction site safety and are familiar with methodologies such as design and occupational safety assessments, audits, participative risk assessment methodologies,…

· 
You are fluent in French or Dutch and have a good knwoledge of English and the second language

· 
You consider quality of work as a main priority and are willing to respect the requirements of the Tractebel quality management system

· 
You are customer focused, dynamic, creative and attracted by high-level expertise

· 
You have good communication skills, both oral and in writing

· 
You are well organized and possess a strong team spirit
