Purpose

The Installation Technician performs installation, functional testing and service of wiring, conduit, components and software of various electronic building automation and special systems.

Essential Job Functions

·  Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair Fire Alarm, CCTV, Burglar Alarm and other special system equipment.
·  Participates in job site final walk and AHJ Inspections on assigned jobs and completes all job closeout documentation.
·  Document control, functionality verification, equipment testing and creation of checklists/punch lists throughout construction project process. Report discrepancies in installation to Project Manager.
·  Provide technical support to end users, subcontractors and field labor when applicable.
·  Coordination with other disciplines, engineers, general contractors and end users
·  Interact with clients, field personnel and Fire Marshals

Requirements

·  Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving ability for all types of fire alarm issues
·  Analysis of blue prints
·  Have operational knowledge of computers and basic PC functionality, such as Microsoft Office Outlook. Education/Experience

Required:

·  High school diploma or equivalent
·  NICET II certification or willing to receive the certification within 1 year
·  Solid knowledge of NFPA 72 and NEC applicable codes is mandatory
·  Possess a valid driver's license; in accordance with Company policy, and be willing to travel within the state
Preferred:

·  Minimum of 5 years install experience
·  Firelite or Silent Knight certification is a plus For this role you must have authorization to work in the United States.
