Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Control Engineer a National Role but predominantly Midlands, London and Southampton. Kings Yard, 1 Waterden Road, Queen Elizabeth Park London, E15 2GP. This is a permanent full time time role working 40 hours per week Standard Office (9am - 5pm) On offer is a salary banding of £40,000 - £50,000 dependent upon skills and experience, company vehicle allowance, bonus and benefits package.

General Overview:  
To deliver and maintain our Industrial Control and Building Management Systems in accordance with our ICS Security Framework. This role is pivotal between project, operations and vendors to ensure our design, project delivery and operational activities are compliant with the agreed methodology and strategy. Working on both Industrial control and building control platforms from many sources and applications across Urban Energy sites.

This person will be accountable for the coordination and compliance of all Urban Energy control networks, devices and programs. By helping to shape the strategy and implementation across the controls community, this role will ensure the effective delivery of critical and non-critical applications that includes 3rd party applications, as well as links to our own in-house data management systems. 

Our systems range from DCS, SCADA, PLC industrial applications, to BMS (mainly Trend) systems and 3rd party hosting software such as COMAP for engine management applications. Working to support both Projects and Operations in the selection, management and full life cycle activities of control applications.

Must be an experienced control engineer with a project delivery background andbe  able to demonstrate experience with CHP generating plant or similar applications.  With a cross disciplinary approach to systems and applications used within energy generation, the ideal candidate will be minimum HND or Degree Qualified in Controls and or Energy Applications.
