Job description

Renewable hydrogen (produced from water electrolysis) is central to ENGIE's strategy driven by decarbonization, decentralization and digitalization. Our ambition is to become a major player in renewable hydrogen, being at the forefront of global transformations in the industry, mobility and tertiary sectors. We want to scale up the Hydrogen economy.

Our ambition is to become a renewable hydrogen major present worldwide providing its customers with integrated zero-carbon solutions based on renewable H2.
We develop solutions for industrials (using hydrogen in their processes) and territories looking for carbon-free solutions (H2 as a fuel for mobility, flexibility solutions for the local energy system…).

- a young and lean business unit, activating very large external & internal networks of people and competencies on many geographies around the world,
- multi-localized with people based closed to the fields of actions ; we have already developed a portfolio of projects in various countries such as Chile, Australia, Netherlands, France,

- organized on a role basis, and with delivery of the strategic roadmap organized in a project mode with ST objectives.

•Purpose :

Ensure/aggregate critical knowledge about H2 Storage & Transport technology evolution, costs and performance and make it available within the BU H2 and ENGIE.

Improve the process and requirements based on the technical REX from projects and plant operation
Leads dedicated Communities of Practices, interacts with the relevant Competence Centers and actively attend international conferences and panels about H2 S&T.

H2 Storage & Transport technology supplier watch
H2 Storage & Transport technology R&D Roadmap

Ensure that REX sessions at the end of projects stages is organized to extract learnings. Improve paths for the BU H2 organization form these REX. Extract and share generic conclusions.
Review H2 Storage & Transport integrity studies (Support to Hazop, Support to Hazid, operation philosophy, O&M…)

As the successful candidate, you hold a Master degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related technical field.

You have a minimum of 15 years of experience in gas storage and transportation, preferably with proven experience in hydrogen, and a solid network of relations within the industry.
You have a strong background in the development, design and realization of industrial scale projects

You are an expert in your domain, able to discuss and challenge technology providers and equipment manufacturers. You are solution minded and you are able to prepare animate joint workshops to create the solutions of tomorrow.
You can switch your mindset and working method from short-term project execution to long term technology roadmapping.

You, have good communication skills
You are very independent, flexible, perseverant and highly motivated
You have an excellent knowledge of English. French is a plus
