ENGIE are recruiting for a Grounds Operative to be based at the NHS Tameside, Fountain St, Ashton-under-Lyne OL6 9RW. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

To work within a team providing an essential grounds and gardens maintenance service to the site. Ensuring the Site remains clear of litter and Organic debris and remains neat and tidy at all times. The individual must be able to work to with their own initiative to prioritise workloads and within the wider to team to provide a first class service to our client. Working hours are 37.5 hours Monday to Friday. There would be the need to work weekends on a 1 in 3 rota basis.

Main Responsibilities:

· 
To progress a schedule of external litter bin and cigarette disposal bin maintenance, inclusive of the removal and disposal of existing refuse bags, physically cleaning / disinfecting the receptacles prior to the insertion of replacement refuse bags.

· 
To undertake the use of electrically operated water propelling, pressure jetting units, to remove graffiti, and extraneous accumulations from wall areas, floor areas, and grounds maintenance equipment.

· 
To progress the planned maintenance of all formal bedding areas, with the works inclusive of all necessary digging over, hoeing, manure / fertiliser applications, planting operations, staking / tying back, and pruning in accordance with approved horticultural practices.

· 
To progress the planned maintenance of hard landscaped areas, to be inclusive of paved areas, walling elements etc.

· 
Lead PPM and Reactive tasks from start to finish. Working with Subcontractors and other employees to fault find and improve maintenance standards

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

 

·  PA1 and 6 Safe Handling of pesticides Essential to this role. (training will be provided if the successful candidate isn’t already qualified)
·  Experience of PFI and/ or Healthcare Environment
