The primary responsibilities of this role is to manage the assessment and estimating of new and renewed Fire System contracts as well as manage client relationships.

Roles responsibilities
• Pursue advertisements, leads and client enquiries with the goal of converting to booked work
• Estimate project quantities and costs in the preparation of tenders on a timely and cost effective basis
• Provide technical inputs to ensure the timely completion of estimates
• For design and construct projects:
- Carry out site surveys
- Prepare sketches for pricing by contractors
• For non-design and construct projects:
- Send out for contractor tenders.
• Provide design input material to design draftsperson.
• Supply Site Managers with clear, concise documentation at contract commencement. Assist in allocating the bill of quantities for costing purposes
• Raise and price variations
• Maintain tender register
• Assemble a costing and a contract file for each new project is received
• Monitor current competitive prices, new techniques and cost trends
• Supervise and develop support staff

The successful candidate will have
• Experience in fire protection system design
• Knowledge and understanding out the operations of a project
• Knowledge and understanding of site functions
• Good relational skills
• Attention to detail
