Your mission

Within our department specialized in Electrical Equipment (EEQ), we seek to appoint an Expert in the domain of Medium & High Voltage Switchgears.

As a Switchgear Expert, you will come into contact with aspects of the entire electricity value chain: production (Nuclear, Classical, or Renewable), transmission, distribution and industry (end user).

Follow-up of new technologies within the domain of Switchgear is expected: technology watch, participation in conferences and seminars

You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with universities and research centers at home and abroad.

Your expertise

·  Conformity study of manufacturers' homologation dossiers on switchgears
·  Participation in factory and site acceptance tests of switchgears
·  Conducting root cause analysis of failures occurring in switchgears and controlgears for utilities and industry
·  Providing technical expertise for utilities and industry
·  Participation in research programs on switchgear related topics
·  Participation in working groups for drafting or revision of international standards related to switchgears
·  Conducting in-house tests such as dielectric tests, SF6 tightness tests, tracking tests and temperature rise tests

Are you passionate about technology, and are you considering a career as an Expert?

·  You are a civil or industrial engineer or equally from experience specialized in Electricity or Electro-Mechanics.
·  You have a complete expertise in the domain of MV / HV Switchgear
·  You have an experience of several years in MV / HV Switchgear design and testing.
·  You are recognized for your technical expertise.
·  You have a good knowledge with respect to MV / HV networks.
·  You are able to create strategic value for Laborelec and customers based on your expertise.
·  You are able to give theoretical and practical trainings in your expertise domain.
·  You are able to analyse customer demands and develop an appropriate commercial proposal related to needed service deliveries.
·  You are able to make recommendations based on your expertise as well keep yourself updated with market evolutions.
·  You are customer oriented and able to build a trust relation with them.
·  You are a good communicator and able to work independently as part of a small team.
·  You are fluent in English, Dutch and French or willing to become it.
·  You are prepared to travel abroad for short term missions, mainly in Europe.
