ENGIE are recruiting for a Electrician & Maintenance Technician to be based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, s hifts will be either 08:00 - 16:00 or 10:00 - 18:00. On-call week will typically be 1 in 4 but may be required more frequently dependent on business needs. Overtime is paid for each hour worked. On offer is a salary of £25,500 and shift allowance and benefits package.

General Overview:

· 
To work in accordance with the requirements of ENGIE rules for the Safe Operation Low Voltage, Mechanical, Pressure, Water, and Confined Spaces

· 
Actively participate in the operation, undertaking and control of all planned maintenance schemes in support of the business and contract needs.

· 
Respond to any unplanned events in a timely fashion and in accordance with the SLA response and rectification times, thus ensuring minimal failures resulting in financial penalties and contractual service failure points.

· 
Produce Method Statements, Risk Assessments to allow the issue of Permits-to-Work as required.

· 
Undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks, carry out small work and variation requests, and any other tasks deemed reasonable and within the capabilities of the individual at the request of the Facilities Manager or senior management team.

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

·  Must have successfully completed a recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent).
·  Have previous experience in a similar role carrying out maintenance duties.
·  DBS Basic
·  a pass in BS 7671 18th Edition & qualified to conduct Portable Appliance Testing, although training will be provided if required.
