ENGIE are recruiting for a Business Process Controller to be based at Canary Wharf London, E14 5LQ. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview: 


This is a broad role working across the whole of the UK business, the primary purpose of which is to assess how well risks are managed and internal processes are operated and to monitor and evaluate governance arrangements within the UK BU.
The Business Process Controller shall also be responsible for investigating, assessing and reporting on potential breaches of internal processes, policies and applicable governance in the UK BU and shall support the Risk and Internal Control team in ensuring compliance with ENGIE’s internal control framework (INCOME) and Enterprise Risk Management reporting process. The successful candidate will report directly into the Risk Director.

Key Accountabilities:

· 
Assess how well the business complies with its policies, procedures and processes and ensure that these are consistent with Group requirements and regulatory obligations.

· 
Manage stakeholder expectations through regular communications including face-to-face meetings.

· 
Maintain and oversee the service level agreement with the Shared Service Centre to manage the internal control system across the UK BU, including periodic quality reviews and resolution of any issues.

· 
Review internal processes to assess their efficiency and effectiveness.

· 
Apply professional auditing standards, methods and procedures to analyse and make recommendations concerning the accuracy of systems, management controls and operating procedures.

· 
Provide occasional courses and/or training sessions to members of the UK BU.
Outcome, Results and Key Performance Indicators:

· 
Practical suggestions as to how systems, processes, policies and procedures may be improved.

· 
Guidance and direction to key stakeholders in matters of compliance and best practice.

· 
Support to senior management within the UK BU in providing evidence and assurance to stakeholders that the business is well-managed.

· 
Assessment of financial risks including fraud and corruption, but also reputation of the company, treatment of employees and ethical matters.

· 
Prepare and present reports to highlight any problems identified, including recommendations for process improvements and operational management.
Geographical span: The role will require regular travel to ENGIE offices throughout the UK. Occasional travel to Paris and Brussels may be required.

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organisation - both verbal and written.
·  Strong and effective planning and organisational skills.
·  Good relationship building and maintenance skills, both within and outside the Finance team.
·  Good commercial decision making and judgement.
·  Confident and professional manner and ability to work on highly confidential matters.
·  Detailed understanding of processes and controls within the business Essential Experience:

·  Significant experience in a role requiring the building and maintenance of relationships across a range of roles and seniority levels, both internally and externally.
·  Knowledge of the organisation, including services provided and operational processes is a definite plus. Qualifications:

·  Degree or equivalent in an analytically focussed discipline (e.g. accountancy, economics, finance, IT or legal).
·  Experience of working at a senior level within a compliance environment would be desirable
