Description
· A Chief Technologist (CT) is a strategic member of the organization, who partners with clients to provide business, technology and industry thought leadership to our global accounts.
· CT’s are well-versed with the DXC portfolio and also strategic alliances, providing innovative ideas to the account team and customer.
· Primary objective of the CT is to be a key advisor to the client (C-Suite), to influence their perceptions, preferences and direction.
· They will focus on the customer's business challenges and goals, engaging early and proactively to leverage best practices from DXC and DXC partners
· They will need to establish and maintain key relationships with the customer's Business, Operations and Technology leadership teams
· A CT should be a recognized authority on leading-edge technologies, emerging solutions, best practices and transformations with a proven track record.
· They will cultivate and champion large digital transformation initiatives that impacts a client near term goals and longer term vision (ideation through MVP)
· A CT is expected to collaborate both externally with clients and internally with key stake holders to help drive the direction of platforms, products and partners.
Key Responsibilities
· As a member of the Office of the CTO, address business revenue and margin targets, while exceeding customer expectations
· Become the trusted advisor to the client, while establishing and maintain relationships with key Strategic Alliances.
· Share global industry trends and provide forward thinking insights and suggestions to clients.
· Identify, qualify and orchestrate the appropriate resources to strategic opportunities to address client needs
· Assist in developing client strategies, architectures, blue prints, roadmaps and transformation plans to achieve future success
· Able to successfully operate within a highly matrixed and complex technical and business environment with the capability to identify, qualify and direct / orchestrate cross DXC opportunities.
· Capable of managing a complex portfolio which contains multiple engagements and innovative initiatives (MVP).
· As an industry expert, develop and syndicate thought leadership throughout DXC and across the industry.
· As a voice of the customer and overall industry, translate requirements to develop complex solutions that meet, if not exceed client expectations.
Qualifications
· College/University graduate degree required and post graduate degree desired.
· 15+ years of related industry experience.
· 15+ years of experience in Enterprise IT, Management/Technology consulting, Software development and/or Enterprise/Solution architecture
· Proven experience as a senior business, technology and/or operations leaders
· Experience leading Digital Transformations is highly desirable (technology, operations, finance, organization)
· Demonstrated and sustained results achievement
Knowledge and Skills
· Excellent executive communication/presentation skills, collaborator, consultative-selling, critical thinking, data driven analysis, design thinking, Agile/XP and timely follow-through.
· Adept at leading change and driving meaningful outcomes at the executive level
· Expert knowledge of industry trends, leading change and Digital Transformation
· Ample hands-on experience with emerging technologies (Cloud Service Providers, Cybersecurity, AI/ML, AR/VR, IOT, Distributed Ledger Technology, Industry 4.0, DevSecOps, API/Serverless, Platform Ecosystems)
· Handle multi-disciplinary decisions and issues beyond the bounds of the assigned engagement but within compliance of DXC standards of business conduct.
· Location: Great Washington, DC area
· Deep client relationships and industry experience as a senior business leader, IT leader, Consultant or Strategic Advisor, focused on Aerospace and Defense agencies.
