Your range of responsibilities will include:
· Preparing, at later stage also reviewing monthly and periodically VAT returns, European Sales Lists, European Purchase List and SAFT in compliance with legal requirements in EMEA region, procedures as well as accounting and financial policies of DXC
· Reconciling VAT accounts and reviewing VAT account reconciliation according to accounting and financial policies to assure the best quality
· Managing VAT accounts during Month End Closure (MEC)
· Supporting SOX and external audits
· Providing Balance Sheet Review movement explanation for VAT accounts
· Cooperating closely with senior Vat analyst and subject matter expert within a team as well as with Tax Managers and Country Controllers in assigned countries
· Carrying out of ad hoc analyses for management purposes
Education and Experience Required:
· Master’s degree in finance/ Accounting preferred
· Typically 1+ years of experience in tax, in particular in the area of VAT
Knowledge and Skills Required:
· Understanding general VAT mechanism, common (EU and international) system of VAT and its practical application
· Strong business application skills, especially MS Excel and other MS Office components
· Experience with SAP environment would be an advantage
· Very good understanding of accounting processes
· Strong computation skills
· Very good in English
· Very good database skills
· Very good communication skills
· Good project management skills
