Summary

The duties and responsibilities of the Magento v2 Developer include, but are not limited to, the following:

·  Build and maintain e-commerce websites for tobacco industry;
·  Maintain existing PHP code;
·  Customize Magento's back-end code;
·  Author and extend Magento extensions;
·  Develop custom PHP solutions; and use of WordPress
·  Knowledge of bug and feature tracking systems such as Jira;
·  Actively assist in improving the usability, usefulness and functionality of customized systems.
·  Participate in on-call rotation for production support.

Basic Qualifications

·  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or field) preferred;
·  Minimum of 5+ years PHP web development experience and a minimum of 3 years real-world e-commerce experience with Magento v2 development;
·  Expert understanding of Magento's code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback components. Magento Certification a big asset;
·  JavaScript (4 years)
·  HTML5/CSS (2 years).
·  Firm grasp of Git-based source control;
·  Competent with PHP object-oriented programming and MVC applications;
·  Competent with MySQL-based database concepts;
·  Agile team experience – 3 years
·  Familiarity with automated deployment strategies;
·  Solutions-oriented thinking, looking for the smart solution to a problem rather than jumping at the first answer;
·  A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies;
·  Well organized and able to work independently within a distributed team;
·  Excellent communication, documentation and attention to detail;
·  Thorough knowledge of vanilla Magento feature set and configuration;
·  Competent knowledge of e-commerce data organization, relationships and store catalog (categories/products/attributes);
·  Competent in authoring JavaScript and using libraries such as jQuery;
·  Competent in web services integrations (REST/SOAP);
·  A desire to be personally responsible for production-level code;
·  Ingenuity to leverage all available tools;
