The EDI Representative is a member of the operations team and is responsible for covering the EDI Helpdesk, which responds to both internal and external inquiries for EDI assistance. These inquiries are received in phone and/or email format which require excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent customer service skills. The EDI Representative must have knowledge of implementation of electronic data interchange systems between customers, intercompany users, and vendors. The EDI Representative works with trading partners, billing agents, and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve any EDI assistance needed with sending electronic data to the Florida Medicaid MMIS by providing support, reviewing EDI configurations or performing research for escalations.

Preference Given for the Following Skills:

·  Experience with ANSI X12 transactions including 270/271, 276, 278, 820, 835, and 837 transactions.
·  Experience in a customer service related role with high volume of transactions.
·  Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). 
·  Knowledge of EDI testing tools such as Ramp Manager.
·  Experience in Healthcare IT industry (medical billing, IT, MAC or other payer) required. 
·  Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint. 
·  Use of text editors; Textpad, UltraEdit or another text editor. 
·  Proficient in a CRM system.
·  Excellent communication skills are essential. Must be able to give and receive correct information, explain difficult information, and maintain a customer service attitude to all levels of users. 
·  The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 
·  Excellent customer service skills such as developed phone skills, customer relationship management, multi-tasking etc. 
·  Strong problem solving/analytical skills, detail oriented. 
·  Self-motivated with strongorganizational/prioritizationskills and ability to multi-task with close attention to detail. 
·  Must be able to organize and manage workload efficiently and prioritize projects with minimal supervision. 
·  Strong interpersonal skills, including customer relationship skills in conjunction with the ability to work well in a team environment as well as to work independently and assumeresponsibility. 

Basic Qualifications

·  High school diploma or G.E.D.
·  1+ years of EDI background
·  Call Center or Helpdesk experinece a plus
