Summary

Supports the business process services team in delivering efficient and effective outsourced processes and services within a specific industry and functional area to meet objectives and quality standards for clients. Demonstrates business knowledge and skills developed through formal job-related training or work experience. Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision. Identifies issues and all contributing factors in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions.

Essential Job Functions:

·  Assists internal and external customers with the support of electronic data interchange (EDI) for the processing of Colorado Medicaid Claims.
·  Utilizes a variety of internal and external online systems governing the transfer process of files used for Medicaid claims payment processing.                                                 
·  Participates productively as a member of a team.
·  Completes tasks beyond general support level.
·  Accepts instruction and direction from leadership. Ability to manage tasks and assignments without detailed direction.
·  Identifies, prioritizes and resolves some issues independently, and escalates more complex questions or issues appropriately.  
·  Complies with contract requirements, business unit rules and related and legal regulations.

  

Education and Experience:

·  High School Diploma or equivalent; may hold 2 year post-high school Degree; may hold Bachelor’s degree.
·  1-2 years of working experience in related fields or call center environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Prior office or clerical experience.
·  Ability to follow written policies and procedures.
·  Ability to access and retrieve information using a PC and basic understanding of Microsoft Office products.
·  Ability to follow procedural guidelines.
·  Ability to work on assignments with limited instructions from leadership.
·  Good written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone skills. 
·  Any type help desk or low to mid entry level technical background will be an asset.
·  Working with any type of EDI/PC file transfer experience is good with an ability to follow direction, policy or procedure.
