Our Public Sector consulting team is growing, and we are looking for agile, design led and transformative consultants to join our Canberra team. We are a team of designers, developers, architects, change managers and agile transformation specialists that love working in multi-disciplinary teams to solve our client’s complex business challenges.

We are seeking an experienced Digital Architect to be able to work in our Canberra Digital Business Consulting team focused on Federal Government clients. As the Digital Architect you will work as part of multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate with interaction designers, service designers, developers, data analysts, user researchers and clients to design and build human centred solutions.

In Canberra, you’ll get to work in our Digital Transformation Centre (DTC) in which we use to focus on the design, development and delivery of next-generation digital services and solutions — including mobile, website and enterprise applications, AR/VR and gaming, cybersecurity, data analytics and intelligent automation. As part of a network of DTC’s across Australia (and the world), you will apply a Lean start-up approach based on design thinking, Agile, Lean and DevOps principles to rapidly develop solutions to client’s business challenges, delivering measurable business value in alignment with client’s business strategies. 

Responsibilities:

·  Guide enterprise-level customers through their digital transformation journeys
·  Work with consultants on migrating existing applications to a cloud-native platform
·  Drive evaluation of different platforms, gather information, implement and run research on the platform behaviours under different workloads
·  Mentor and train developers in building digital applications based on scalable, portable, and resilient designs
·  Advise customers on the architectural aspects
·  Review platform used by a customer and suggest improvements

Key skills:

·  5+ years of experience across Architect positions
·  3-5 years of experience in a client-facing role
·  Experience in building and operating distributed, concurrent systems
·  Hands-on experience with any of the following IaaS platforms: AWS, OpenStack, Microsoft Azure, or Google Compute Engine
·  Familiarity with design patterns, domain-driven design, component-based architecture and evolutionary architecture such as microservices
·  Strong communication skills both verbal and written
