Summary

DXC is looking for a DevOps Engineer with experience not only in the concepts but the implementation and support of pipelines under Linux and the developer community underneath. This specialist will have development experience, expertise in automation with the latest CI/CD tools and should be very fluent scripting in shell, bash, etc. OpenShift, Docker, Jenkins are a must. Experience in webservers and JVMs is a big plus.

Essential Job Functions

·  Design, build and maintain multiple pipelines of continuous integration and deployment to on-premises system
·  Support users in setup and scripting of automated testing
·  Create and maintain Docker containers under OpenShift
·  Setup and maintain various web servers (Apache, JBoss, etc)
·  Strong programming/scripting knowledge - Bash, Python, etc.
·  Software package management
·  Troubleshooting of CI/CD pipelines, including network tracing and backend log analysis
·  Technically strong and hands-on

Basic Qualifications

·  3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with previous experience as a Software Developer and /or System Administrator
·  3 years of experience in CI/CD Tools, Jenkins, GitLab
·  3 years of experience in OpenShift and Docker
·  Ample experience in scripting, Shell, Python, Bash
·  5 years or more UNIX experience, preferably Red Hat Enterprise. HP-UX experience a plus
·  Solid understanding of Java Web Server platforms, JBoss experience a plus
·  Apache Web Server , Apache Tomcat 7x , Apache Web Server 2.4
·  Networking skills (Troubleshooting, DNS, tracing)
·  Experience working with software installation/upgrading procedures
·  English a must, French language a plus

Education

·  Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
·  Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field preferred
