Role Description:

Our client is one of the biggest German automotive corporations and the person on this role will work on IT operations, contributing on the development of a Jive based collaboration solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

·  Liaising with up/downstream IT teams to resolve both incidents and data quality issues on behalf of the business
·  Maintain and improve monitoring utilities to provide real-time alerting, pro-active monitoring, and capacity management
·  Participate in application releases including testing, release procedures, liaison with development, infrastructure and user testing
·  Contribute to support team’s global knowledge base
·  Batch support is covered by a follow-the-sun model; need to be familiar with EOD batch jobs and the process to investigate batch related issues

Skills and requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Unix/Linux environment
• Knowledge and experience of one or more Java/JEE Web/Application Server Environments (Examples – JBoss - primary, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic)
• Very good scripting skills – Unix Shell
• Good SQL knowledge in one or more RDBMS -Oracle/MSSQL/PostGreSQL/MySQL
• Strong knowledge and experience in running batch processes and release deployment
• Good command of English
• Strong analytical skills
• Solid communication skills
