The ATLAS consortium will develop, deploy, and maintain the DII Services for Fixed (Office), Maritime and Deployed configurations, and will deliver these Services to the MoD over the life of the contract.

Based at customer site at HMS Collingwood, this role will require  DV  clearance (to  SC )

This support encompasses a pro-active and reactive approach to delivering solutions and processes, with maximum effect & efficiency to the team, and the customer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·  Management, monitoring and administration of the Live environment
·  Produce documentation, work procedures and processes for supporting the Training environment
·  Investigate, diagnose and resolve issues affecting the availability of training service, including root-cause analysis
·  Ensure incidents are managed effectively using relevant toolsets
·  Act as point of contact within the team for other support teams
·  Ensure that all you adhered to in accordance with the contractual agreements
·  Adhere to change management procedures as defined by ITIL processes
·  Provide service improvement initiatives, alongside the work undertaken by system architects
·  Attend/Conduct Meetings/ Briefings as required. 
·  Establish and maintain existing relationships with the extended ATLAS customer organizations and customer to ensure that performance and relationship issues are fully communicated and understood. 

Required Skills:

Essential:

Must be a self-motivated and determined

• Knowledge of the operational environment in which DII is deployed.

• Ability to cope under pressure in a highly visible environment

• Flexible with work times, in order that any major problems are resolved as quickly as possible when the need arises

• Ability to work under their own initiative without constant guidance

• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal/external customers

• Willingness to learn and develop skills

• Have good attention to detail

• In depth working knowledge of Desktop Infrastructure & Application Support including:

• HP Radia software delivery tools.

• SQL Server Administration

• SharePoint Implementation and administration.

• Data centre Virtualisation, VMWare 

• Windows and Unix Server Infrastructure Management

• Microsoft exchange and LCS Messaging Support

• NetApps San Storage Management

• SCOM

• PowerShell

• Remedy

• Lync/skype for business

• LCS Messaging Support

• MacAfee

• Sanctuary/lumension

Desirable:

• Have previous Military/operational experience – not essential
• large scale infrastructure support experience.
• At least 3 years Systems Administration experience in a distributed environment
• MCSE qualified, or working towards this in a similar environment
