POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Analyst is responsible for modeling demand, planning replenishment, and managing inventories with a customer-focus for key customers in our integrated and extended supply chain, with emphasis on managing baseline forecasts on all items, promotional volume and phasing on key promotions. These activities require frequent communication with sales, demand planning, collaboration and the customer. The successful execution of the role has a direct effect on Danone North America’s sales volume/profitability as well as the customer’s sales volume/profitability. They are responsible for driving productivity initiatives and delivering cost and service improvements in partnership with Supply Chain and Field Sales. Minimal travel required.

RESPONSIBILITES:

Vendor Managed Inventory

·  Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer’s SKU portfolio, seasonality, promotional schedule, warehouse/store sales characteristics and document as part of customer profile.
·  Utilize Datalliance process and tools to generate higher SKU productivity and optimal inventory.
·  Analyze 852 PA data to review and adjust/create forecasts based on historical data and/or comparative SKUs to generate accurate orders within short lead time.
·  Apply analytical techniques and leverage supply chain modeling technology to develop tactical demand and replenishment plan for the customer.
·  Analyze key trends in order history in the context of the customer’s supply chain processes to proactively identify and propose improvement.
·  Prepare reports to be shared with both the customer and internal departments as part of daily/weekly/monthly communication.
·  Confirm all order written are within the sales policies of each customer. (i.e. Bracket Pricing, Truck Load Utilization, Economic Order Quantity)
·  Deliver effective communication by serving as the centralized point of contact between customer, operations, production, sales, etc.
·  Maintain positive relations and manage quality of service by resolving or communicating issues such as; product shortages, order delays, incorrect shipments and order/product refusals.

Productivity & Process Improvement

·  Utilizing Datalliance and well as Supply Chain processes to identify opportunities to innovate, improve service and/or reduce cost.
·  Analyzes opportunities, develops recommendations and implements process improvements that deliver results.
·  Drives cross functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Customer and Field Sales to achieve supply chain efficiencies.
·  Develops and maintains process and procedure documentation.
·  Maintains master data supporting the customer order to deliver processes.

Candidate Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

·  Planning experience required
·  Datalliance experience preferred
·  SAP experience preferred
·  Bachelor’s Degree required (3-5 years relevant experience and/or 1-3 years internal experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
·  2 years of CPG experience in Customer Service, Operations or Sales preferred

·  Ability to forecast at SKU and pack group level.
·  Interact with all levels of the business and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
·  Ability to apply a disciplined, logical and comprehensive approach to problem solving
·  High degree of initiative and ownership
·  Strong attention to detail for both accuracy and content
·  Judgment to resolve issues with a strong sense of urgency including after standard business hours support
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  Ability to maintain productivity and professionalism while under pressure
·  Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities
·  Advanced Excel skills
