Danone North America is looking for a Graveyard- Quality Assurance Technician in City of Industry.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Tests and inspects product at various stages of the production process. Collects and evaluates statistical data to determine, as well as maintain the quality and reliability of products by performing the essential duties required and more.
** Graveyard Shift: 10:00PM- 6:30AM

**Starting Pay $ 20.48 with a 10% increase every 6 months until full contract rate of $29.09

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Inspects and selects product at different stages of production to be tested
·  Analyzes incoming ingredients and ensures compliance to specifications
·  Performs Quality Team Audits
·  Help maintain lab, lab equipment and supplies in compliance with HACCP, FQP, GMP and Safety

SOP

·  Records and evaluates test data from samples
·  Prepares necessary medias and reagents needed for laboratory functioning
·  Acts as facilitator/coach in areas of safety and quality
·  Lifting up to 50 lbs. and push a sample cart up to 350 lbs.
·  Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

·  Bachelor’s degree (required) from a 4-year college or university, preferred Food Science or related area
·  2 or more years related Quality Assurance experience;or equivalent combination of education that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required is acceptable

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge:

·  Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo
·  Knowledge of uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods
·  Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
·  Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions

Skills:

·  Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
·  Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
·  Basic computer skills and knowledge of word processing and spread sheet programs very helpful
·  Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release

Reasoning Abilities:

·  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
·  Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence
·  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
