Danone North America is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor in San Juan Bautista.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to Maintenance Managers, this position supervises department team members focused on the maintenance of Earthbound Farm manufacturing equipment while consistently achieving Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Targets.

Essential Functions Required:

·  Monitor tool and part inventories.
·  Monitor the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
·  Utilize computerized maintenance databases to support Corrective and Preventative maintenance program.
·  Examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
·  Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools and gauges to verify conformance to standards and repair requirements.
·  Perform skilled repair and maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand and power tools, hydraulic presses and shears, and welding equipment.
·  Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, and outside contractors.
·  Review, evaluate, accept, and coordinate completion of work bid from contractors.
·  Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
·  Complete and analyze weekly departmental performance reports.
·  Ensure team members take scheduled breaks and lunches, and finish shifts on time.
·  Address and correct employee performance issues promptly and effectively.
·  Manage and execute the training of team members on Department and Earthbound Farm policies and
procedures.
·  Ensure employees work in a safe manner, that equipment is properly maintained to operate safely, and that hazards are promptly identified and corrected.
·  Monitor and maintain department housekeeping, ensuring audit and inspection readiness at all times.
·  Participate in daily Operations staff meetings and weekly tailgate meetings.

Additional Requirements:

·  Ensure compliance with all company rules and regulations, Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, Section 110.
·  Contribute to a successful food safety culture by following the established guidelines as outlined in the Earthbound Farm Food Safety Policy.
·  Follow all Company food safety protocols without fail.
·  Always perform tasks in a manner that protects and promotes food safety.
·  Proactively assist team members, managers and employees as needed.
·  Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
·  Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overtime as business requires.
·  Manage special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
·  Change Management – Adaptable to a fast paced, shifting work environment; willing to remain flexible to accommodate changing business conditions, work requirements and scheduling needs.
·  Detail Oriented – Attention to detail, ability to focus on the project or task at hand and consistently deliver error free results.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

·  High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university a plus.

Related Experience, Qualifications and/or Certifications:

·  A minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing equipment maintenance experience with increasing levels of responsibility and authority including 1+ years of maintenance supervisor experience desired.
·  Experienced with ammonia refrigeration systems, VFFS packaging machines, industrial electronics and controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and associated plant support equipment.
·  Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
·  Ability to write reports, business correspondence and standard operating procedures.
·  Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification strongly preferred.
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with multi-level audiences; bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred; must be willing to acquire Spanish language skills as required.

Computer Skills / Special Equipment Knowledge:

·  Computer skills – Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
·  Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work environment consists of regular exposure to a refrigerated food manufacturing facility with very cold temperatures (34-36 degrees F); routine exposure to the smell of chlorine, heavy machinery, forklift traffic and loud noises; occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions; regular exposure to an indoor, environmentally controlled business office; occasional exposure to an indoor, not environmentally controlled warehouse.
