Danone North America is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic Level 2 in San Juan Bautista.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Maintain, repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment including: ProPak Case Erector, Markem Printers, DynaTec Glue Machines and support equipment.
·  Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.
·  Observe the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose problems and malfunctions.
·  Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
·  Perform preventative maintenance (PM activities) i.e. clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment and machinery.
·  Maintain accurate documentation about repairs and maintenance activity performed.
·  Maintain accurate record of parts and materials used.
·  Partner with Operators on a daily basis to reduce downtime and increase plant efficiencies.

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

·  2-3 years of related experience operating and/or maintaining case erector equipment.
·  High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·  Demonstrated technical aptitude in the following areas:
·  Replace automated equipment mechanical components.
·  Basic PLC knowledge with the ability to read electrical prints and ladder diagrams.
·  Ability to understand and trouble shoot problems using electrical wiring diagrams.
·  Knowledge of packaging processes and documentation standards.
·  Must have working knowledge of basic protective equipment requirements, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, OSHA, FDA, and GMP as they apply to maintenance personnel.
·  Working proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
·  Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.Bilingual/Bi-literateEnglish and Spanish strongly preferred; must be able to speak, read and write in English.
·  Ability to relocate to Yuma, AZ during winter growing season typically November thru April.
·  Flexible with schedule and able to work PM, weekends, and overtime as required
·  Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for 8-10 hours in a refrigerated manufacturing environment (36 degrees F) consisting of cold and wet conditions, excessive noise, machinery, forklift traffic and the smell of chlorine

·  Active Listening - Ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of others.
·  Must be able to respond to trouble calls and emergency conditions as requested.
·  Self directed with the ability to work with little or no supervision.
·  Must be able to qualify for forklift & scissor lift driver's license.

This is a heavy labor position. Qualified candidates must have the ability to lift and walk with a load of 50+ lbs. for short distances
