We are looking for a new Junior Legal and Compliance Officer in our Nutricia Worldwide entity based in Zoetermeer. Your mission is to provide legal advice and assist on any legal matters as directed by Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs.

About the Job

In this role, you will support our Nutricia Worldwide Business Unit (CBU) that continues to grow rapidly (cc. 10% CAGR) in a complex global environment. The CBU is driven by a clear strategic vision “Expedition 150” (150 Million Euro in Net Sales), with a track record of significant growth that reached >100 million EURO in 2019.

Your mission is toprovide relevant legal, regulatory and compliance support to the business as directed by Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs; you are a subject matter expert on privacy laws, implement and maintain GDPR across the business unit. You support the business by ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and Danone’s guidelines and policies – implementing them when it’s needed.

In this role, you will have 2 key areas of responsibility:

Legal assistance:

·  Contract drafting, review and maintenance as required
·  Be a subject matter expert on privacy laws; implement and maintain GDPR across NWW
·  Support legal awareness sessions
·  Watch and monitor legal and regulatory changes that are relevant to the business
·  Assist in connection with dispute resolution and litigation

Compliance:

·  Support implementation of Danone policies, compliance with laws and regulations
·  Support compliance awareness sessions
·  Support risk analysis and risk mitigation plans to continuously improve compliance

About You

You have 2 years of professional experience as an in-house counsel or at a law firm (we are looking for a junior expert). Preferably you have FMCG experience. You hold a Master’s degree in Law.

You can demonstrate experience in delivering complex projects and in engaging and building relationships with internal and external contacts. You are persuasive and can bring people together. You have strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to think strategically.

For this role, you know how to express yourself in a professional way in English (native/fluent) – Spanish or Russian language skills will be highly appreciated.

Please note: For this role you need to located in the Netherlands, relocation will not be provided.
