Happy Family organics is looking for a Financial Planning Analyst in the New York City location.

Happy Family Organics is looking for a Financial Planning Analyst tosupport the planning & forecasting processes of the company. The position will play a key role in the finance department by providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management and other departments in making educated economic decisions about the company's future.

About the job :

·  Develop, execute and effectively communicate significant analyses that identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the business. Leverage tools and systems to quickly access data and present meaningful, concise information to various levels of management.
·  Actively participate & continuously improve the internal and external monthly forecasts & annual budget, in cooperation with other departments.
·  Provide strong ad hoc financial and business analytic decision support on numerous revenue or cost-saving initiatives, return on investment analyses and/or other assigned projects.
·  Perform variance analysis, analyzes financial results versus budget/forecast, and provide commentary that helps identify performance drivers and root causes of variances to objectives on a monthly basis.
·  Prepare, analyze and summarize various weekly, monthly and periodic results / reports for use by sales, marketing or management team.
·  Work closely with the Accounting Department to assist with month/quarter/year-end variance analysis and financial reporting.
·  Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value, in cooperation with the other finance team members.

About you:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Required
·  2 to 5 years of business experience with working in analysis and reporting jobs or tasks (experience in a Consumer Goods company would be appreciated)
·  Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical skills.
·  Strong Microsoft Office Skills.
·  Must possess Expert Excel skills with the proven ability to produce high end work products suitable for analysis.
·  Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - proven ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
·  Flexibility and adaptability to different situations
