Danone North America is looking for a Distribution Coordinator Non-Exempt in City of Industry.

Position Summary

Responsible for reviewing inventory and ensuring that product transferred between the Plant and our outside storage facility arrives in time by entering transfer orders. In addition, enters transfer orders to maintain ATP and make entries in the event EDI transmissions are not complete. Maintains Department purchase order process and obtain necessary approvals. Work with the Distribution Clerk regarding carrier appointments, contract delivery carrier operations and act as their backup.

Summary of Key Areas of Responsibility:

·  Solves problems associated to transportation and distribution of finished products
·  Reviews ZMM05 report for accuracy and resolution
·  Creates STOs and put them on Versacold sheet
·  Receives open inbounds orders at both Versacold and COI
·  Corrects EDI errors
·  Creates non-stock purchase orders
·  Receives non-stock purchase orders
·  Maintains ATP for customer service
·  Closes-out / moves open orders
·  Maintain and store inbound receipts in an organized manner for future reference
·  Directly participates in all plant safety activities.
·  Perform other tasks assigned by Plant management
·  Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

·  Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from 4 - year college or University
·  3-5 years of experience in the dairy/food/beverage manufacturing industry, inventory management, including transportation management experience
·  Prior experience managing inventory in SAP and/or warehouse management applications
·  Manufacturing experience a plus
·  Strong analytical skills managing data in multiple applications
·  Ability to stay focused and deliver while under pressure
·  Successful problem solving and logical thinking skills
·  Able to build strong relationships with peers and external suppliers
·  Strong organizational skills
·  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and suppliers
