Position Summary:
The Trade Show & Events Admin assists the Manager, Trade Show & Events in producing positive brand experiences that increase equity and awareness for CertainTeed and advance our strategic objectives through trade shows, events, and event marketing. They will work with the internal team, stakeholders, and vendor partners to execute against show objectives and strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of event planning and execution as needed, including, but not limited to: supporting team on planning needs and status, making hotel and travel arrangements, working with vendors to schedule and confirm event and materials logistics, creation and coordination of event staffing plans
- Work with exhibit houses to maintain display inventory
- Maintain intranet (portal) content as it relates to trade shows and events
- Support content updates and develop level of expertise in Aventri™ or alternative event management platform
- Execute event-related surveys utilizing SurveyMonkey® or other survey application and provide results/reporting to appropriate team
- Participate in event post-mortems, providing show notes on successes, areas of improvements, competitive notes, etc.
- Support event wearables and promotional items platform, including maintenance and user support
- Assist with other marketing duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience in trade show and event planning
- Working knowledge of design and production processes and vernacular
- Experience with event management software or other content management software a plus
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, comfortable multitasking
- Detail-oriented and able to work under-pressure supporting multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Experience working with vendors & agencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent solo working skills – keeping yourself accountable for both your growth and the quality of your work
- Robust interpersonal skills – collaborating and supporting the team is a critical success factor
