A VIE for a Strategic buyer for A220 Equipment and Systems has arisen within Airbus CANADA in Mirabel (Canada)

You will be part of A220 Procurement for Equipment and Systems and you will support Strategic buyers to prepare negotiation dossier with A220 suppliers, managing common topics for all A220 Equipment and Systems buyers. You will report to the A220 Equipment and Systems Procurement director.

Airbus’ ties to Canada were deepened in October 2017 when Airbus sought to acquire a majority stake in the C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (renamed Airbus Canada Limited Partnership in June 2019), the entity that manufactures and sells Bombardier’s single-aisle C Series jets- rebranded the A220 Family, with its two versions designated the A220-100 and A220-300. The partnership markets, manufactures and supports the A220 Family worldwide.

The contract is for 18 or 24 months and starts on April 1, 2019 at the earliest.

Tasks & accountabilities
The job holder will be support implementation of Airbus Procurement actions and process on A220 Program, and will contribute to Multi-Functional Team (MFT) and Systems Commodity activities.

You will support the A220 Equipment and Systems Procurement director by managing some transverse projects to improve procurement process implementation within A220 program.

You will also support some strategic buyers, in charge of contract administration for a portfolio of suppliers. This includes:

Supporting buyers by monitoring of contract with suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve, throughout the contract life cycle, a complete application of terms and conditions to ensure suppliers deliver expected performance in all dimensions (Logistics, support, quality, cost...).
Supporting process of selecting suppliers
compliance with Procurement Procedures,
enforcing and updating applicable contracts throughout the equipment and system life cycle including the negotiation of change requests,
Significantly supporting the achievement of Cost Reduction targets
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Procurement and business knowledge, and some experience in aeronautic is also welcomed.
Experience in working in a multi-functional environment.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Commercial / Contract / Finance knowledge is appreciated.
Negotiation level in English, other languages would be an asset.
