What will you be doing?
- Contribute to Pre-Proposal activities under the leadership of the Process & Project Manager.
- Gives input on the SWOT analysis, and formalizes with the team the strategy for the bid.
- Makes sure that all tasks are addressed, and coordinated with other department and support services. He/she then draws up the planning and the budget for the Proposal, and follows-up during the course of the development of the Proposal.
- Calls all necessary meetings, tracks and monitors all decisions. Ensures that the development of the proposal, or the portion of the Proposal, is compliant with the Management system and procedures in force.
- Ensures that the operational team delivery strategies are defined.
- Drives the process in order to targets the most competitive layout, technologies and process treatment lines. For his/her scope, he/she ensures timely production of all design deliverables required for the Proposal.
- Ensures the costing of the Project together with the support of procurement and local Operational Department, and then estimates the value of the project against the bid evaluation criteria’s.
- Reports on all risks, and proposes mitigation strategies. Accountable for the preparation of the risk meetings.
- Preparation of documents for proposal, or others assigned by the Process & Project Manager.
- Contributes to Client’s presentation and negotiations.
- Ensures proper execution as per approved proposal.
- Comply with all applicable QHSEEn/AM policy, rules procedures, best practices as communicated and be committed to the continuous improvement process and deploy within the perimeter.
- Notify any unsafe acts, unsafe condition and incidents (near miss and accidents) as described by the internal notification procedure.
- Ensure compliance to Our Life Saving Rules.

Who are we looking for?
Educational background
BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent with at least 1 to 2 years of experience (inc. internships) on proposal activities for the Water Industry, preferably in O&M sewage water treatment contracts including treatment plants, pumping stations and networks.

Professional background + Number of years of experience required
- Sound technical know-how or willingness to build a career in the fields of Water and Waste.
- Excellent written skills and fluent speaker in English. Proficiency in Arabic and/or Hindi is an advantage.

Languages
- Fluent in English. Other regionally relevant business languages (French, Arabic, Hindi) not essential but an advantage.

Technical skills (including computer skills)
- Computer literate (Excel, PP, Outlook, etc.).
- Knowledge of Project Management tools would be a plus.
