AXA XL is the division of AXA dedicated to Large corporations in terms of Property and Casualty risk management, underwriting and claims handling and to Specialty markets worldwide. AXA XL employs over 8,000 people across several legal entities with an international network present in more than 100 countries.

XL Insurance Company SE Australia is a branch of XL Insurance Company SE which has been set up in 1990 to underwrite Property, Casualty and Specialty Insurance products in the Australia market.

We are looking for a Financial Controller who will help the Finance Manager to follow the activity of the branch and manage the IFRS and Australian GAAP Processes in straight cooperation with XL Insurance Company SE Head-Office in Ireland and our Enterprise Shared Service office in India.

VIE JOB DESCRIPTION

MAIN MISSIONS
1. Manage IFRS and Local GAAP closing processes for XL Insurance Company SE Australia Branch;
2. Participate to the annual audit review as well as the ongoing work with local and Group actuaries;
3. Monitor Branch Profitability by Line of business;
4. Contribute to the Global Integration and transformation of the AXA XL Division as well as local transformation projects;
5. Manage Legacy systems and processes associated with a Run-Off legal entity.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

General Office Skills
• Imaginative and Self Proposing;
• Autonomous;
• Dynamic;
• Interested to work into an international corporate environment.

Technical Skills
• Advanced Accounting, Management Accounting and Finance skills;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint);
• Experience of complex IT Financial infrastructure;
• Knowledge of the Insurance or financial services industry is strongly recommended.

Interpersonal Skills
• Fluent English is mandatory;
• Collaborative mindset and eager to work as a team.

Qualifications
• Master Level with Specialization in Accounting and Finance or equivalent.
