Role and responsibilities

As an R&D process engineer, you will be joining an existing, growing team at on site in Belgium. You will directly support the product development projects of the R&D Baxter Process Development organization.

You will:

•Collaborate to the manufacturing development process by interacting with the design, quality and manufacturing team,
•Be responsible for the organization and completion of whole studies or projects under the guidance of the senior engineering staff or project leader:
- Design study layouts and design of experiments related to new products production process development
oSupervise samples production process and overview logistic aspects,
- Statistically analyze data generated,
- Summarize and report results (oral and written formats).
•Identify opportunities to utilize new processes technologies to improve existing process or create new processes or products
•Perform Risk Analysis on manufacturing processes and directly support the validation teams in the plants (pFMEA, Control Plans)
•Communicate continuously to the team and management any progress/status of test study & risk analysis documentation.

You may be required to travel to another Baxter facility to support projects execution (up to 25%).

Profile:

- You have a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- You are a team player, but demonstrate great autonomy and leadership.
- You are fluent in English.
- You have experience in Plastic Materials Characterization and Processing.
- You have good knowledge of Statistical Analysis and Lean/Six Sigma tools.
- Good knowledge of CAD systems (Creo and/or Comsol) is a plus
