The Air Liquide Forschung und Entwicklung GmbH (Air Liquide R&D) is one of 8 R&D Centers within the worldwide Air Liquide Group. The research activities focus on finding answers to pressing social challenges in the fields of environmental protection and the production and storage of energy.

We concentrate on innovative methods for the generation and application of industrial gases in areas like synthesis gas, gas purification, hydrogen mobility or the production of basic chemicals. Our special strength is the scale-up of results from numerous pilot plants to large scale and in close collaboration with internal and external partners from industry and science.

The core team dealing with the production of basic chemicals (green molecules) from renewable resources consists of one research scientist (German), one senior research engineer (German), one analytics expert (German) and several technicians and operators (German) to run the experimental platforms located in the R&D Center in Frankfurt. Mentoring of the candidate will be done by the research scientist who is also project manager.

Strong cooperation exists with in-house Engineering & Construction Unit as technology owner based in Frankfurt.

In this context, you main activities will focus on the following:

? Literature and IP survey
? Planning, execution and analysis of experiments
? Interpretation of data from pilot as well as commercial plants
? Definition of KPIs (crucial input data) on operation
? Conceptual process design
? Feasibility studies
? Exchange with collaboration partners to validate data
? Working together with our internal and external customers to fulfill their needs and achieve better and cheaper technological improvements.

Profile :

You have experience in chemical process engineering or previous experience in the chemical process industries and strong interest to evaluate and design processes through application of process simulation tools and data from experimental platforms.

? You are self-motivated, self-aware, self-disciplined and self-improving and taking initiatives.
? You behave like an owner, but you also know your limits.
? You are curious, quality-oriented, conscientious, creative, cooperative and have good communication skills
