Your mission: to work with the Loan Syndicate team and report to the Head of Loan Syndicate in Madrid.

How this translates on the ground :

To maintain databases of benchmarks regarding pricing and structure of loan transactions;
To prepare on regular basis loan syndication market updates for internal and external purposes
To draft pitch documents,draft syndication and underwriting memoranda
To review or prepare (as appropriate) term sheets and offer letters
To prepare information memoranda to be circulated to potential lenders
To assist in negotiating or reviewing legal documentation, as appropriate
To ensure appropriate briefing of and close co-ordination with Distribution team
To follow up with invited banks and assist in answering their questions
To coordinate the execution process with the client/distribution team/internal and external counsels under the supervision of the Senior Transactors
To coordinate with back and middle offices to ensure the good execution of the deal.
To prepare internal reports and permanent supervision document

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Madrid is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. Please see www.civiweb.com, in order to have more details regarding your financial indemnities.

Your profile

Graduate with a Master degree from Business school or University, majoring in Finance.

A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.

You have knowledge in cash flow modeling,accouting,structured finance

You are fluent in English and Spanish.

You are proficient in Office application

Madrid Loan Syndicate team is part of the European Loan Syndication division and comprises 3 professionals reporting to the Head of European Loan Syndicate.

Madrid team covers Spain and Portugal.

The team is responsible for the structuring, pricing, underwriting and syndication of loan financings for corporate or structured finance transactions for Spanish clients in which SG participates or leads a syndicated facility

The wider European Loan Syndication division comprises c. 50 professionals based in London, Paris and Madrid, covering the syndication and distribution of all loan activities in the EMEA region
