Missions:

The Global Junior Buyer is responsible within his/her segment(s) for bringing to GBU P & L entity a step change in savings/value (e.g., quality, service, total vendor value) of 3-5% ongoing annual savings improvement or value contribution by working together with the Category Managers and Lead Buyers and GBU operations for Global actions and by realizing the GBU based actions.
He/she is responsible within segment(s) to assure that savings realization is achieved.
For local actions, he/she helps users in the writing of specifications, runs tenders, negotiates, formalizes contracts, monitors supplier performance, drives continuous improvement and innovation of the suppliers, and measures internal customer satisfaction.
The internal customers should be kept satisfied in terms of: cost, quality, lead-times and service level of suppliers. He/she drives simplification of processes, for instance, through annual or multi-year contracts and reduction of the number of suppliers.

Furthermore, he/she will support, participate and potentially lead cross-GBU / cross-category initiatives to capture maximum of savings or value for the Group.

To achieve the goals stated above, the Buyer will:

- Together with the Category Managers, Lead Buyers and the GBU Purchasing Director, identify, integrate and realize global and local actions for the segment(s)
- Ensure integration of purchasing activities of the segment (s) with other functions and operations in GBU
- Contribute to the Global purchasing network by participating in or leading purchasing teams and actions within segment(s). Share and integrate best practises for the segment(s)
- Define local purchasing strategies and actions for segment(s) and ensure compliance to achieve TCO savings and value creation inside GBU.

Profile:

Proficient in the following (proficient meaning “a detailed knowledge and understanding of required tasks, together with accompanying processes. Capable of operating in normal environments without supervision and unaided)

Must have a good knowledge of Microsoft applications
Good written and verbal skills
Second European language would be a benefit, but not a requirement
Selfstarter who is happy to work on their own
Not afraid to challenge the current ways of working
Supplier Performance Management
Basic understanding of how contracts work.
Cross functional teamwork
Fluent in English
