In this role you will be a part of Group Purchasing team, reporting directly to the Group Lead Buyer. You will be a partner with business functions to ensure that global company targets will be achieved.

Tasks & Responsibilities
Be assertive & motivated to strive for constant result improvements for HeidelbergCement (HC)
Comprehend and support Raw & Secondary Cementitious (SC) materials sourcing activities along the roadmap
Provide support in terms of documentation, consolidation, and market research
Drive & conduct business data analysis with critical approach (market, spend, supplier data etc.)
Proactively contribute to develop, assess and manage supply, suppliers & savings opportunities
Analyze, define, prepare & support tenders related to raw & SC materials needs
Participate in negotiations and follow up results after clearance with the responsible GLB
Contribute to contract preparation
Ensure compliance & purchasing rules
Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders ensuring the proper information exchange
Understand priorities, manage multiple efforts simultaneously

Requirements
Previous work experiences in purchasing area
Fluent in English (mandatory), knowledge in German will be a plus
Strong analytical skills into database & Excel files
Presentation and documentation skills
Software skills (SAP, MS/Excel, eTendering etc.) are a plus
Communication oriented and experiences talking to senior management
Curiosity, open minded thinking and global understanding of industrial process will be an asset
Ability to perform with autonomy
Ability to operate in multicultural team and to work on multiple projects
Willingness to travel (~10% of time)
